Street Diesel Pickup Rules

1.)  This is a stock class for factory appearing trucks.  If you intend to pull in this class, your truck should not look like a truck setup to pull transfer sled only.  If you consistently dominate the stock class you will be moved up to the 2.6 Smooth Bore Diesel Pickup class.

2.)  Driver must be 16 years or older with a valid drivers license.  Ages 16 to 18 with need parental consent

3.)  Trucks must have a valid insurance and registration.

4.)  Class weight is 8500 lbs max, no hanging weights are permitted.  All ballast must be secured in the bed.  No weights in the cab.  If anything falls off of your truck while hooked to the transfer sled, you will be disqualified.

5.)  No suspension stops are allowed.  26 inch hitch height, will be measured from the ground to the hooking point.

6.)  Trucks must be driven in,  trucks are not allowed to be trailered in unless tow vehicle is pulling also.

7.)  No water, methanol, propane, or nitrous injection allowed.  Trucks must run on pump gas or diesel fuel.

8.)  Must be pulling from factory Reese style hitch.  Must provide your own pulling hitch with a 3 x 3 3/4 inch minimum opening.  If you do not have one, you can rent or purchase one from the club.

9.)  This class will be monitored for excessive black smoke and RPM.  The exhaust should clear out or be a light haze by 150 feet.  The smoke rule isn't an exact science.  The final decision will rest on the club president or class representative at each event.  Do not be surprised if you place in the money are disqualified for excessive smoke.

10.)  There will be no passengers while pulling.
